FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is the Resort on leased land?
The Resort land is freehold, not leased land. Your purchase is registered on title with the BC Land Title Office. The Resort is 18 + acres and has 142 RV lots with 30 amp service and 146 RV lots with either 50 or 100 amp service.
Is the Resort open all year round?
All owners have year round access to their recreational lots, although Phase 1 has limited winter services. Most owners winterize their RVs late November and re-open early March, but some do enjoy visiting during the winter months. The large clubhouse and washrooms are open all year round. Phase 3 has specifically been designed to have amenities open in the off season for owners to enjoy.
What amenities are available?
The Resort has two heated pools, a large family pool with hot tub and an adult pool with hot tub. A third new pool and hot tub will soon be added in Phase 3. In addition, there is a beautiful treed playground, horseshoe pitches, park, dog run and walking trails. Activities and get-togethers take place in the Whistler- style clubhouse which offers relaxing indoor space, a library, common social area, big-screen TVs, billiards, darts, fireplace and two outdoor fire features. There is also a large outdoor social pavilion with foosball, basketball and ping pong that hosts many barbecues, dances, and activities throughout the year. Another clubhouse and games room are underway on Phase 3.
What services are available?
The Resort has wireless basic internet service with premium upgrades available. All lots are fully serviced with municipal water, sewer and 30, 50 or 100 amp electrical service. Phase 3 is also providing conduit to each Phase 3 lot so there will be an option for seasonal guests or owners to install wired internet/cable service to their lot.
What are the maintenance fees and what do they include?
The maintenance fee is $230 a month and includes property tax, municipal water and sewer and all common expenses of operating the Resort. Lots are metered and billed for individual hydro use.
Are there standards for building decks, sheds etc.?
Yes there are standardized guidelines, which mirror the Whistler-style cedar and stone amenities.
Is there security on the grounds?
The Resort is a gated community with quiet time from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. There are managers or caretakers on site all year round.
Can family or friends use my lake get-away?
Friends and family are welcome to come and stay with you. They are also welcome to stay on your site when you’re not there, provided you register your guests with the office before their arrival.
How far away is Harrison Lake and the beach?
The beach is a two-minute drive or a comfortable fifteen-minute stroll from the Resort. There is a bike lane along Hot Springs Road, and a pedestrian sidewalk.
Are there activities for the children at the Resort?
There are special activities geared towards our younger guests. Some of the highlights are craft hour and outdoor movies. Besides scheduled activities, there is lots to explore around the Resort: places to ride your bike, trails in the woods and a large fenced playground, featuring a 1930’s antique carousel, which the little ones love to ride. And don’t forget hours of fun in the pool and walking to the village for beach time and ice cream!
What kind of activities are there in the area?
The list of activities in the area is endless. Our favorites are golfing, fishing, boating, hiking, and swimming. For those of us who enjoy a different kind of recreation, there are great restaurants, shopping and day spas. For more information on all the exciting things to do at the Springs RV Resort and in Harrison Hot Springs go to www.springsrv.com/events.
Is the Resort pet friendly?
The Resort welcomes your pets. The dogs love the dog park and the forest walking trails at the foot of the mountain.
